Why do Milk Teeth even matter?

This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions by parents, and with good reason. Baby teeth have a space-saving function; they keep room for the growing permanent teeth beneath them. They also enable children to eat and talk properly and create a proper foundation for adult teeth.

What is Kids Dentistry

Is your kid ready for their first dental visit?

Tooth decay or pain

Tooth decay or pain

Pain while eating, clear sensitivity to cold and sweet food, or simply repeating that a tooth hurts — then it is indeed time for your first visit.

Visible black or brown spots

Visible black or brown spots

Dark spots on teeth are almost always early decay. Caught early, they're a simple fix. Left alone, they become deeper problems.

Gum swelling

Gum swelling

A swelling or pimple-like bump near a tooth usually indicates infection at the root. This needs attention sooner rather than later.

Routine six-month check

It's just been 6 months

You don't always need a reason. A routine check every six months is one of the best things you can do for your child's dental health.

Real smiles,
real Results

Our kids' dental experience focuses on one simple notion: a child who is not afraid of visiting the dentist today will grow into an adult who takes care of their teeth tomorrow.

"I had visited Orthosquare for my Kids dental treatment. It was a fantastic experience. Dr. Aditi Prasad was very polite and gentle while she was doing the treatment. My child was very happy to see the results. A big shout out to Dr Aditi. Must recommend orthosquare to all."

How we Take Care of your Child's Teeth

01

Fillings

If the damage from decay can be halted while still in the very early stages, it is done simply with fillings. We use materials that match the colour of the tooth, so you won't even notice it's there — and it's fast. Most children find their visit quick and simple.

02

Pulpectomy (Root Canal for Children)

Done by a professional kids dentist, the procedure involves removing the infection and retaining the tooth. This immediately stops the pain in the tooth, and ensures your child’s permanent tooth has the room it requires to grow in.

03

Crowns

When we have done a pulpectomy or removed a large area of damaged tooth, crowns are required to provide added strength. For back teeth we use stainless steel crowns, and for front teeth tooth-coloured options are available.

04

Fluoride treatment for kids

A brief and painless treatment with fluoride gel hardens the enamel and protects the teeth against caries. This procedure takes only a few minutes and really helps, particularly when children are learning to brush their teeth properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

We always work according to your child's comfort level. For instance, the first appointment may consist of merely looking around, speaking to each other, and becoming acquainted with the chair and instruments.

Yes and this is really important. An infected milk tooth doesn't just cause pain; the infection can spread to the permanent tooth forming beneath it and damage it before it even comes in. It can also spread to the jawbone. Protecting the teeth helps protect those teeth which will remain with your child all through their lives.

The best time to do this is as soon as the child starts getting his/her first teeth from 6 months to 1 year.

Sure it is completely fine because the amount of radiation used in the process is very small. The X-ray is taken only when necessary, and protective covers are always worn.

We determine that on the basis of a dental examination and X-rays. If the decay has reached the tooth nerve causing spontaneous pain, swelling, or an abscess, a pulpectomy is required. Otherwise, just fillings will suffice.

When children lose their baby teeth before they have a chance to grow in, or when they lose their baby tooth from extraction due to dental decay/cavities, the dental space maintainer acts as a device that keeps the gap open for the adult tooth to come in. They also keep the teeth next to the missing tooth from moving into the space left by the baby tooth that's been lost.

Give your child a dental experience
they won't be afraid of.
